Occasionally, if the sun is hot in the morning, Yoll lies down near the wall and stretches her wings like that. When I first saw that, I thought that she's not feeling well, and got scared. Turns out, no, it's the opposite: she actually does that on purpose. She has a shadow on the windowsill and a water bowl to retreat to if she wants to, but she deliberately stretches like that to fry herself for a while. Looks like it does some good to her plumage; plus she creates a shadow with her stretched out wings for her own bottoms to chill under.
Thanks to self-isowlation, we've got quite a lot of free time, so I decided to change Yoll's grass mat. Granted, I was gifted a roll by the channel's subscribers during the last fall's Reptilium. The stores are closed down and I can't buy linoleum and foam mat yet, so I kept the old ones for now. Yoll will be checking the new mat tonight.
