Chufut-Kale is an ancient abandoned cave town in the mountain, which can be reached by walking through the gorge past the equally colorful Holy Trinity Cave Monastery, where cave monks make outrageously delicious waffle tubes with goat cream from the milk of cave goats. Probably, they are still doing something useful there, but these are no longer tubes.
The location itself is located just outside the city of Bakhchisaray, where we did not have time to walk. We didn't have much time to walk anywhere, because we crawled into the cave city half an hour before the gates closed. They closed at 17 o'clock, as the tourist season had not yet arrived.
Well, never mind, we'll know next time.
I highly recommend going there not during the tourist season, when there are almost no people. Then you can feel all the antiquity and epicness of the place, listen to the mountains and ancient stones, just sit alone and take amazing photos without people on them.
Oh, yes, we also found Tolyan! I already wrote about the fact that he was confused, on Instagram. My post caused a flurry of sympathy for Tolik in his confusion on the one hand, and on the other - indignation at the disrespectful attitude to the remains. It's not true! We were very respectful and sympathetic to Tolik and were very careful about walking there. No one mocked or abused Tolik!
Apparently, Tolik is one of the former besiegers of this fortress. Perhaps he is a Kemer, perhaps a warrior of the Tatar-Mongol army. Maybe a resident of this city, now it is no longer possible to understand.
I reported the discovery first to the cheerful monk from the bakery who sold waffle tubes. He looked at the photo and cheerfully gave out that it was not necessary to ride under the walls and attack the city, even if it was lying there now. Well, or that we report about Tolik to the Khan's Palace, which owns the Chufut-Kale museum complex. Everything was already closed, so we informed the guard, who shrugged and said that he did not know who was responsible for Tolikov, this was his first time.
