One can often come across little owls in video and photos, where they are represented as cute gentle owls. This is not true. They fake it deliberately to mislead you, and then bite you to death, while grunting sweetly.
Apparently, censorship did not miss the real name of the owls, because these birds are not owls, but real bitches. (Note: "little owls" and "bitches" are pronounced similarly in Russian.)
They like to bite. No. They LOVE biting. And to be scratched. And they can’t decide what they like more: biting or scratching. And they successfully alternate between them.
Gnus loves me. That is, he loves to bite me, he loves to get scratched by me. If he sees that someone else wanted to love and bite me, he will bury this person. Well, first bites and captures to death, and then buries. Well, anyway, he tries to.
And Gnus is not unique. These are typical traits of little owls. Perhaps little owls are the most vicious and aggressive of owls, if you keep them at home. And the most active and restless. But sometimes they are cute, that's true.
Therefore, if someone suggested you buy a little owl, then be prepared that:
1. If it is a wild little owl, you will become an accomplice in poaching and illegal activities.
2. If this owl gets used to you, ceases to be afraid of you, and starts to trust you, he will go after you. He will go after your family, your dog, your cat, your fish and cockroaches. He will go after everyone. Even neighbours with their night cries.
Well, it’s worth adding that adult little owls are very poorly tamed. For all their infernal arrogance, these owls are very shy. And because of the hysterical and choleric temperament, they are afraid of any unexpected sneeze, preferring to first press their heads against a stone wall, and then figure out who sneezed and why.
Gnus is not from the nature. He was bred in the nursery and raised by me since one week old. Therefore, his character is disgusting.
