There are still no edible mushrooms, so I go to the forest for other gifts of nature.
Trichoderma (Latin Trichodérma) is a genus of ascomycete fungi of the Hypocreaceae family.
The ability of these fungi to destroy cellulose is used for waste disposal, soil purification and compost production.
Mycorrhiza (other-Greek. μύκης - mushroom and other-Greek. ῥίζα - root) (fungal root) is a symbiotic association of the mycelium of the fungus with the roots of higher plants.
Mycorrhiza is present in all coniferous crops, almost 70% of monocotyledonous and 80% of dicotyledonous plants. It is especially common in the forest. Most edible and poisonous mushrooms form mycorrhiza with tree roots: aspen - aspen, birch - birch, pine - boletus. Mycorrhizal fungi are ubiquitous. They enter into symbiosis with the absolute majority of plants, and this is very important. Thanks to mycorrhiza, plants get more water and minerals (especially phosphorus) from the soil.
Both trichoderma and mycorrhiza are sold in stores for gardeners, on all kinds of trading platforms as useful biofertilizers for the garden. But finding, extracting and applying yourself is much more interesting and exciting. And the toad is very happy and does not press! Well, this is a great reason to walk into the forest and back.
