Kalinka the Scops owl has been receiving medications since the day I first noticed that she was feeling unwell.
She could not lay an egg, and veterinary ornithologist Valentin Kozlitin t.me/lechenieptic He promptly prescribed medications and told me how much and what to give. The course of treatment is designed for a minimum of 40 days.
Kalinka was able to lay an egg, she felt better. I hoped that the crisis was over.
But then the other day she felt noticeably worse again. I felt another egg in her stomach.
And so she demolished it after taking painkillers and antispasmodics.
All medications and their dosages should be prescribed by a doctor who knows how to treat birds! That is why I do not write what I give and in what quantities. And I delete comments if someone else decides to give advice on self-medication.
