The puppy has grown a bit. This is not an Asian or a Caucasian shepherd, this is a "Chechen shepherd dog", an indigenous dog from Kabardino-Balkaria, from where they brought Petra and her parents to guard the kennel. Pony is not a chained dog. She lives at home and walks for many hours in the forest every day. She was put on a leash here so that the garden beds won't get trampled, basically.
The frogs I collected last September from a drying puddle at the airport. They managed to grow into adult frogs here. I also found a toilet toad in September in an office women's toilet under the sink.
