This spring, I've added a few small orchids: Vanda, Rhynchostylis, and their hybrids. They come from Asia in plastic baskets with bare roots.
In our dry climate, it's challenging for them to thrive and bloom successfully due to the lack of moisture.
Planting them in a basket, often made of wood with coconut fiber, can help.
However, I have my own unique setup: metal baskets and large pieces of pine bark with fern roots.
Two vandas have already successfully adapted to this, so I plant the rest of them in the same way.
Before any manipulation with vandas and rynhas, it is necessary to soak their roots so that they become flexible and do not break.
I add Aminosil concentrate or Aminosil gel with succinic acid and chlorella to the water.
These products stimulate the plants, help them adapt, and reduce stress.
