We have the second day of heavy snowfall. Birds flock to our house from all over the neighborhood in search of food. Starling birds have learned to eat oat flakes and frozen locusts, finches eat sunflower seeds.
They need to hold out for at least three more days, then they promise warming.
But our owls are fine, they don't pay attention to the snow.
In the evening, the male long-eared owl began to hoot again in the hollow. He calls the female to the baskets, but so far no one has arrived.
