If I had known that garden nymphaea water lilies could be kept simply in basins, I would have had them for myself long ago.
As it is, they have been living with me for the second year. They spent the same winter in the stream last winter. This stream does not freeze, the mud is at the bottom and the keys are beating.
If you have a familiar pond that does not freeze to the bottom, you can keep nymphs. Even if this reservoir, for example, is with friends. The pot with the water lily can be moved overland without any problems.
If you have a cold but frost-free cellar, then you can winter the nymphaea there, simply by moving a pot with roots and a container of water there for the winter.
The Owl Yoll had known about this for a long time, but who was listening to her?
