Today is not only a pleasant and sweet holiday on March 8, but also a day of battles and arguments about what this holiday means and what it is dedicated to.
Yes, I know that March 8 is the International Day of Women's Solidarity in the Struggle for Women's Rights and Emancipation. That is, the day of those very real feminists who moved our right in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. And they did, for which they are honored and praised!
I believe that Russia is one of the most feminist countries in the world. Here, women can rule and steer everything exactly as much and exactly where they want. In my independent life, I have encountered "infringement" of my rights only once: after school, they refused to hire me as a firefighter, citing the fact that I am a girl. The Ministry of Emergency Situations did not exist then. They offered to go to the dispatchers, but I didn't want that. I wanted a helmet and an axe!
And now they're taking girls to both the fire department and the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
In general, ladies, ancestors, you won, thank you!
And March 8 is a sweet holiday for me, where you have to congratulate your mother and grandmother, draw cute postcards and be embarrassed, saying thank you to men when they give flowers and chocolates. The main thing is not to say "thank you, and happy holidays!" in response. That's the hardest part!
And you know what? This is all confusing, because we are so equal in rights on all other days, that flowers and small pleasures from men just like that are a unique rarity. And now March 8 is the Day when a woman, in theory, can relax and feel dependent, weak and helpless on the pleasant side. And all the other days of the year, be equal and emancipated!
Thank you men for your attention and congratulations!
Women, happy Holidays and may everything be well!
