It gets dark early now, and I shot this video at dusk, so it’s a little bit fuzzy.
At the Falcon Yard in Kolomenskoye Park there are many birds on display.
But Varvara the eagle-owl, of course, is the gem. I met her on a walk with the keeper on the way to the Falcon Yard in the park itself, accurately calculated where they were according to the screaming crowd of angry crows.
Varvara the eagle-owl can often be found on the boardwalk, or you can buy a ticket and visit the Falcon Yard itself, where the birds live. I don’t know how much a ticket costs, but every third Sunday of the month all the exhibitions in Kolomenskoye are free, however, a ticket is still needed. Therefore, you must take it to the kiosk in advance so you won't get sent back.
The Falcon Yard is open to visitors every day, except Monday.
Varvara is also an eagle-owl (Bubo bubo) like Yoll, but she is of a lighter morph and is smaller.
