To distribute to those who know how to take care of an owl - no one will take an adequate eagle-owl for himself, whoever wanted to have one for a long time. To release them into nature, requires costly rehabilitation. And in general, eagle-owl chicks eat like hippos. It is elementary expensive to grow them. What to do with them next, is yet another issue.
